Tuesday June 5, 2007

Today we went to Elephant Lake. It was the prettiest place we have been to so far. It drizzled a little then stopped which was nice. There was also a temple there and it was quite fascinating. We went to Wal-Mart yesterday afternoon...interesting!!! We were looking for more long sleeve onesies and p.j.s but didn't have any so we are making due with what we have and the laundry service here. Emma Rae was a bit fussy today and hasn't eaten in about 24 hours. They said that that is normal due to the circumstances that she is going through. She continues to pacify herself by sucking on her sleeve. That may be her way to help her through her grieving and loss of her life with her nannies and all that she has ever known. She is sleeping and has been for a couple of hours. Dawson just went out to roam the streets and take pictures of the vastly different lifestyles for which we are not accustom. I am so much more grateful for what I have back home!

Julie, she is so beautiful! Thank you for taking the time to post the pictures and comments on your blog! I know you have something much more interesting to do with your time! We really appriciat your sharing with all of us here at home.
Regarding her sleeve... Is it possible to substitute a pascifier, little blanket, or cloth toy, for her sleeve, so on hot days, she can wear clothes that you think she would be more comfortable wearing? You most likely have already tried these things. I'm just brainstorming out loud.
Again, thank you for the wonderful posts!
Love,
Monica

She is just adorable. I can't believe the hair. It has grown since the first pictures we saw of her.
It sounds like you are doing great with her. I guess she is expected to have some separation issues. It will get better and better each day.
You both look like a beautifully glowing Mommy and Daddy. Thanks for all the great pictures and updates.
Love, Patti

I'm back again. I'm hooked on your blog. Everyday I check my Natalie's web page to see if there are new pictures, and then I check yours. I am just so excited for you. You look so happy. Little Emma looks contented too with her new family. She' just a little baby doll. It would be cute to get her and Natalie together since they are only 1 month apart in age.

Enjoy your journey.

Hey Gutys,

I can't wait to get to the computer everyday to check for new pictures and posts. Cole and I were on the computer this morning at the gym b/c we couldn't wait until we got into the office. He made me promise that we would not make a quick trip to Atlanta to meet Emma Rae without him... We are all sooooo excited to meet her. You guys look very natural and it looks like the bonding is going well.
Take care and hurry home!
Love, Aunt Mindy
