Emma Rae was quite the trooper today. We all walked with the babies to the medical center. She was seen by the ENT doctor, medical doctor and a couple nurses gave her a physical. This was part of a routine medical exam required for all the children. No fussing at all. She laughed when the doctor put the stethoscope on her chest and smiled the whole time they weighed her, took her temperature and measured her. She weighs 19.8 lbs. We think she lost a little weight from not eating for the first 3 days that we had her. She is 29 inches tall. All the doctors said, "Wow" or "Whoa" when she was brought in for her exams. Her cheeks are very full and she looks very heathy they said!!! She is several pounds heavier and 2-3 inches taller than the other babies. We also went to the Visa Photo Shop to have her picture taken. It feels like we are on vacation now. Both the hotel and city are beautiful and most of the paperwork is now done!! We are excited about the rest of our stay here in Guangzhou. We will be here until Wednesday then on to Hong Kong.

Glad to hear the hard part of the trip is over. Now you can just sit back and enjoy. She is way too cute when she smiles. Her cheeks are so big that her eyes close. I'm glad her physical went well. She definitely looks healthy!! She is a cutie patootie!!

We are really enjoying your pictures and posts. We have shared your blog with our family and a few close friends. Now they are getting as excited as we are about our adoption adventure (which is still forever away...). Congratulations, you guys look very happy and she is just gorgeous!
