Monday
First day of wanting to eat solid food. She likes mashed potatoes just like her mom and dad! Boy, those were good!! Check out my new bracelet! Above: Happy Time !!! Below: Giving some sugar!
Today we got up at 6:00 am....that is when she normally rises and we went to breakfast downstairs. They always have a great breakfast buffet and we chat with all the other adoptive families. It is interesting to find out where everyone is from and how their new daughter or son is adapting. Our guide, Michael, took all of our paperwork to the American Consulate this morning. All the families had to be in their room at 9:30 am and wait for a couple of hours. Michael was going to call us if there were any problems. He called to say our paperwork passed inspection and they will be issuing her a visa!!! Yea!!! We walked the streets today and bought Emma Rae some chinese gifts for her future birthdays. This afternoon at 3:30, we have to have her downstairs, dressed and ready, for the infamous red couch photo. They put all the babies on the couch for the photgraph. It should be quite the experience trying to get them all to look at the camera!!
