The first time I read Emma Rae a story... Baby Cakes- A story of adoption! Doesn't she look like the baby on the front cover??

Well, we just made it back to the hotel and ordered Pizza Hut!!! MMmmmmm! Can't wait!! It is 11:30 a.m. and I feel as though we have put in a full day!!! We all took a bus with the babies and went to two separate government offices to be interviewed and signed our lives away!! Today is called "Forever Family Day", which means Adoption Day!! Emma Rae is such a doll and is a wonderful baby...we couldn't have asked for anything more!! She is napping right now. She likes to suck on the end her long sleeve like she is nursing all the time. I found out REAL quick that putting a "short" sleeved shirt on her was not going to cut it! You will see her sucking on her shirt in one of the pictures. We are going to another official meeting this afternoon and then to Wal-Mart!!! All the families are going baby shopping....rice cereal, water, clothes, etc. We will be buying bigger clothes for our little fatty. She is the biggest baby...21 pounds! We brought some 9-12 month p.j.'s and a couple outfits because we thought she was smaller. We had a wonderful surprise when we walked in from our Adoption Day interviews....The McMichaels sent us a bouquet of beautiful pink roses!!! The bellboys were looking for the Crowleys when all the families walked in from off the bus!!! Thank you so much!! The picture was taken when they were handed to us. Emma Rae loved looking at them!! You should have seen her eyes!! Oh, and you are wondering about our attire...we were told to only bring casual clothes. It is very hot and very muggy and there is hardly any air conditioning!

Meizhi did and still does the that nursing/sucking thing too. If the long sleeve thing will be a problem, see if she will take a bib, handkerchief or even a washcloth. It's a soothing mechanism and Meizhi even at almost 32 months will still do that when tired, insecure or not feeling well. Isn't it adorable?? Emma is gorgeous! Congrats on your new family!

Great pictures, ALL of you look so happy! This blog really has been great for us here following everything and wanting to get as much information as possible... As far as papa Dawson using Pabst Blue Ribbon, you can take the boy out of Kentucky, but can't take Kentucky out of the boy!! ;)
